We had a great time at the 2nd annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Fest at Metropolitan Park in Jacksonville. Beautiful weather and plenty of spirits! We were pouring Brass & Anchor a local whiskey brand from Warriors and Whiskey and to say it was popular would be an understatement! We took a little break to sample some things ourselves and see our good friends Noal at Old Elk, Ingrid at Whistle Pig, and Tyler and Von Payne. Our first year as a vendor at the Southeast Adventure Vehicle Expo and we had a blast. Met so many great Whiskey Adventure people and got to introduce them to Whiskey and a Hammock! Everyone that stopped by got to try April One Bourbon and then invited them to come back for the after hours tasting! We even brought our signature cocktail, The Sojourner and found that was a hit. In July we attended the first annual Jax Bourbon Social to fight MS. Not only did we get show up and drink whiskey, we were also fortunate to contribute along so many other generous bourbon lovers. This all took place at Manifest Distilling headquarters in down town Jacksonville, FL where you could catch Whistlepig, Grey Matter Distilling, Ezra Brooks and Four Roses aplenty for your sampling pleasure. Over $23,000 was raised in the effort to eradicate MS. Easy to say that a great time was had by all. This #whiskey venture took us to St. Augustine for their annual Food and Wine Festival(plus spirits). The spirit part is what brought us there. Saw friends and made new ones. Had samples from St. Augustine Distillery, Laws Whiskey House and new to us, Fighting 69th Irish Whiskey, Ugly Dog and Prohibition Pops. It is what it sounds like, an alcoholic/slush popsicle.
